Our spirit of innovation
What makes a sports car? More horsepower? More revolutions per minute? Sure. But we want more. More ideas per kilometer. We ensure that technology not only appeals to our minds - but to our hearts. With innovative technology that inspires.
Innovation areas
From technology to digital
Driven by the dream of the sports car of the future, Porsche embraces change through innovation, digitalization, and a strong transformation strategy—empowering collaboration, enhancing processes, and fostering a culture of excellence to meet tomorrow’s challenges.
Engineering
We shape tomorrow's technologies for vehicles and beyond. We create digital solutions, from source code to function. And we engineer the future - from chassis to body, from architecture to energy, from automated driving to vehicle-to-X. With a global network, we combine expertise with local market knowledge. Our focus is on transforming vehicles and related industries through innovation and quality.
eFuels
We take a holistic approach to sustainability. That's why we rely on a double E: electromobility and eFuels. Every percent of eFuel added to fossil fuel can reduce CO₂ emissions. The development and ramp-up of battery-powered vehicles is a top priority. In this context, eFuels serve as a sensible complement to electromobility and thus make their contribution to the defossilization of traffic.
Digital
We are the technology and digital unit of Porsche AG. Founded in 2016, Porsche Digital drives innovation by developing scalable digital models and services globally. Aligned with Porsche's strategy, the company focuses on artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, and agile methods to strengthen Porsche’s sustainability, modern luxury, and long-term success.
R&D
To meet global customer needs, Porsche operates a growing R&D network connected to our Weissach Development Centre. Since 1971, Weissach has been Porsche’s innovation hub, where every model is designed, tested, and refined—combining craftsmanship, advanced technology, motorsport expertise, and rigorous environmental simulations under one roof.
We’re expanding our traditional virtues and abilities to include innovations from the digital world.

Innovation Case Study
The Turbo S: 33 years of innovation and performance
Just over a year after the model facelift, Porsche presented the 992.2-generation 911 Turbo S. It impressively emphasised its reputation as a pioneer of technology. For the first time, a 911 Turbo S was equipped with a performance hybrid system, whose high-voltage system opened up new dimensions in terms of both power output and suspension technology. The innovative T-Hybrid powertrain of the 911 Turbo S, featuring two electric turbochargers, developed a system output of 523 kW (711 PS) and a maximum torque of 800 Nm. The flagship model’s acceleration time from 0-100 km/h was just 2.5 seconds.
