The German Corporate Governance Code

The German Corporate Governance Code (the “Code”) contains principles, recommendations, and suggestions for corporate management and supervision. Its principles, recommendations, and suggestions were prepared by a dedicated government commission on the basis of the material provisions and nationally and internationally accepted standards of sound, responsible corporate governance. In the interests of best practice, the government commission regularly reviews the Code’s relevance in light of current developments and updates it as necessary.
